Wilmslow is a town in Cheshire East, situated south of Manchester near the Cheshire countryside. The town grew substantially during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries as railway connections and Manchester's expanding economy encouraged residential development. With a population of around 25,000, Wilmslow is now an important suburban and commercial centre.
