Cotgrave is a town in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire, located south-east of Nottingham. The modern town expanded significantly during the twentieth century alongside the development of the local coal industry. Following the closure of the Cotgrave Colliery, former industrial land has been transformed and the town has increasingly developed as a residential and community centre.
